Verify it’s overheating first! If not remove the compensation board and sorter pin 1 & 3. That will give you a true reading on the gauge. IPD sells a kit also.

dont trust my welding on it so, will get a welding shop to do it for me with instructions. my panned daily is a red 93 245 that will have a ceramic coated +90 but the red 84 242 will have a header.

Alway heard knife edge would create less windage. Then balance the crank with rods, piston, rings and it will be fine. I can’t afford to race but always balance engine that I build.

Not all of those Ebay headers are the same. Some provide more of a air gap to the lower hose. Welding a elbow on meads do that each time you change water pumps.

Have not had a problem but if it leaks around the seal, any radiator could fix it easy. With the removal tanks, it’s easy to clean it the put the tanks back on it no cracks in the plastic tanks.
