LS 5.3L with forged internals and a big ass B&W turbo. He also has meth injection. A TH400 tranny was used for that run. He's on MS3 I think.

I too think that it's probably shifter related. 5th gear synchro are pretty common for these transmission but I've not heard much about them popping out of gears.

If you're not aiming at a 400+ whp goal you might as well go with the T5... You could find a recent CD009 (2008-2011) for a decent price but you'll have to get the Deeworks adapter that costs $360...
