1995 945T (T5 Swapped) aka the Daily Driver

A few little updates, I have a bunch of replacement transmission parts to swap out (junkyard t5 out of a v6 in good shape, yoshifab flywheel and clutch). That once I find some time I will swap out.

Otherwise my recent add on was a Wideband as I have been spoiled by having them in my 744 and truck so now I want one here. I installed some old 42lb disc injectors as the stockers are 260k mile and why not.

As expected idle and cruise afrs are perfect, on the big end mostly close but still to rich @ high 10s and low 11s @12-13psi. I need to get a 3" downpipe and cat on here and see if that helps it burn a little more fuel.

Oh and when I shift / lift off the throttle afrs go into the 10s with the stock cbv. I will be throwing a bov on one of these days to confirm once again BOVs work on stockish LH cars.

Also I picked up a 16t that I might rebuild or not to replace my 15g as this turbo is pushing a ton of oil out of the compressor.

Wifemobile is looking amazing, love the wideband. I wanted to get mine in a similar posting but have been to lazy to move it and the boost gauge...

Just finished up with the YoshiFab Flywheel and Clutch Swap

I ended up needing to use the McLeod 16515 Adjustable Throwout Bearing to get the right pressure on the PP and all seems well so far on the test drive around the block.

Latest update on the car.

I Took this

And removed it to look like this

And then added one of these.

Car runs great but I think this Mod is going to hurt my MPG the most as it makes me drive it like an idiot just to get it to vent @ 15psi on each shift.

Shhhhh, I have been DAily driving it breaking in the clutch and making sure it is reliable. I am almost done fixing and replacing everything on it. M I still need to do front and rear bushing and I am technically done and it will be damn near all new.

Plus she complains about it rolling backwards on the small hill leaving the kids school where the BMW doesn't roll back. And she is incapable of learning anything new if I tell her she needs to be mean to drive. Ha

Maybe once I get the v8 into the 944 she can or might start driving this. Plus she likes how soft and smooth the BMW clutch and shifter are vs the clunky t5. So whatever. It might just be the family wagon.

The best of plans...lol

Lemme know when you're ready for some bushings and I'll get em coming.

Been driving the 140 a bit, dealing with some tuning, kinda enjoy racking the gears, but I wish I had the boooooost. In time...

Well I already have control arms here with new bushings installed (ipd kit with poly stay) and then solid torque rods here waiting to go in. I need to quit being cheap and buy the new stuff mounts and then just find time to swap.

I get like 2 maybe 3 days a month than I can really work on my projects. Family life bah.

I thought my car would die with a BOV!!!??? J/k. I didn't even know they had adapters like that, pretty slick. I guess the 2.0T Hyundais have opened up some more options for mitsubishi equipped cars. Now you got me looking for something.

Ditto....but the last time I got something like that (a Mopar SRT-4 part), the car just panicked and died. How does this one work? Recircs at all?

You, you just have to use shorter bolts. Also make sure whatever bov you use is closed at idle and cruise. Pretty normal stuff for a maf/amm car.

That yoshifab flywheel looks great, how much they go for? Car looks good, but I'm a sucker for Wagons. I wonder if they make a similar setup for a t56? Anyways great looking so far!
