95' B230FT into 87' 740 with B230K

I have pulled the engine from my 1995 945T with the intention of dropping it into my 1987 744.

945 had an AW71L auto box, 744 has an M47 manual box.

I've done some quick reading and have come across the following issues:

+ B230FT runs on LH2.4 and uses a 240mm dual mass flywheel, flywheel has timing notches for LH 2.4.

+ B230K uses a 228mm dual mass flywheel, ignition only ECU so wont have notches on flywheel needed for LH 2.4.

Is this a case of getting the flywheel from an LH 2.4 car that was fitted with an M47 box, and what clutch combination would i have to run to make this all work.

The cheapest/easiest thing to do would be to just get a turbo LH2.2 computer and EZK box and some high rez injectors.

Or was the 87 a carburetor?

Where are you? It sounds like the UK?
This makes a big difference to what parts will be available to you.

The 87 is already a carburettor, I already have the LH 2.4 and EZK from my 940 so I don?t intend on buying new management.

I am in the U.K, I?m watching a complete kit on eBay, just waiting to hear back from the seller if it was and LH car or K-jet
.

That doesn't seem to have the holes for the crank sensor.

Edit: the M47 uses a single mass flywheel set up for a 228mm clutch+pressure plate. You'll need a flywheel out of a car with M47 or M46 and LH 2.4

LH started in 1990/91. So that being 1984 will be no use to you. Unless it has been changed for some reason. I cannot see the holes around the edge that LH requires. You need a late 240 1991-1993, or a 1991-1994ish 940 flywheel.

I?d likely go for the flywheel out of a 91-94 940 as they are more common in the U.K

I don?t really want to spend proper money on a kit, long term I will put a ttv flywheel in with an 850R clutch and an M90 box. For now I just need to get it running and hope it holds for 200hp.
