    idle valve piping

Also, there should be an arrow on the valve body indicating which way the idle valve goes when you get to installing.

    How do these mounts look?

2nd looking at clearance for oil pan. If I'm remembering right it was pretty easy to squeeze down there to check. Also thinking it was around an inch of clearance if they are good so it should be obvious

Stiff shift from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 2nd

If you're changing fluid anyway Redline also makes a synthetic type F. FCP has it and I think it's called Racing ATF or similar.

1989 Volvo 740 Turbo Smoking Issue

Hopefully of help: if you pull off the hose at turbo intake, check the turbo to intercooler hose for a lot of oil. Some is certainly normal though. There's also a drain plug in the intercooler. Also can check the intercooler to throttle body hose for excess oil. This is more of advice on why...

    Loud heater Blower fan

Just another thought: could the balancing weights on the fan blades be causing noise? Ie maybe it's wobbling from not being balanced

    940 - what's leaking?

To add about Corteco seals; I bought genuine and Corteco ~2020 for the aux and cam seals and the Corteco were slightly looser fitting in ID for sure, possibly OD too (measured with calipers). I only bought genuine for the crank seal though.

Mixed Maxed Trim- Tan + Black

Wild as this looks almost identical to what I did/am doing with my car, and my future plans w/ the black sunvisors and with finishing up unfinished bits. I especially like the black headrests you have. What are anyone's thoughts on the work involved in doing a 2 tone seat leather. (Similar to...

    Headlight upgrade for quad H

Could go with a relay harness. Did that and saw great improvement with the stock sealed beams that were in there, not new ones. Installed h4 4"x6" e codes after and improved more but nothing like the laser blasting lights new cars have. I think a pricy set of silverstars or similar should help...

    Chasing driveline vibration

Can agree with rear end causing driveshaft angle issues, then vibrations. Torque rod bushings here too. But really could be anything front to back

    Engine mount replacement 940

Wanted to ad here that I've had the hydraulic Cortico mounts in my 7 series for ~4 yrs and they're holding up great. Bit cheaper over Volvo parts and quality is typical good with Cortico.

    Rust advice

Sorry, I don't know much on this but if you're in northeast maybe use some rust stopping product until you can weld in panels and that. Shouldn't have any issues down the line with it either way. Just a thought and others will have much better advice than me.

    '91 940 Instrument Cluster Weirdness/Failure

Hi, After seeing you mention the clockspring at the wheel with your issues; Be sure to make sure you have a good ground there as well. after unplugging battery for an hour I may suggest getting under the steering wheel and checking grounds and wiring for that as well. a bad connecting, even at...

    '91 940 Instrument Cluster Weirdness/Failure

Hey, no expert here but maybe a few suggestions to get you going. 1st best guess; from your symptoms I might (very carefully) suggest try to flow some new solder on the board. Ideally you should inspent for cold (cracked) solder with a magnifying lense. However, I went wild with mine and, again...
