For what it's worth I have seen about 5 defective...

For what it's worth I have seen about 5 defective MANN filters come through my work in the last few months. The crimp at the filter base has been failing and causing massive leaks.

It was great! turnout was much higher than anticipated. Highlight for me was seeing Husein's gnarly V70. Had to leave early though so I didn't get to meet him. Some really neat cars showed up.

Get rid of the gasket and use a wooden hammer...

Get rid of the gasket and use a wooden hammer handle to gently tap them into the hole. The trick is to have the compressor tight as hell and the band as flush and tight as possible to the block.

IIRC the turbo pistons dont make a difference when i comes to valve to piston clearence, they just have a deeper dish in the center.
